I love this song so much!
Bob Dylan was an amazing songwriter, but I have to admit that I don't really like his versions. Fortunately there is a lot of amazing coverversions and the song is timeless.
I moved on so many times from toxic love in my life so this song always makes me a bit wistful and nostalgic. Even though it was always sad to leave loved ones behind, it was always good for the long run.
Never forget you can love, like, admire someone, and still leave, because its not about how you feel about them, its about how they make you feel.
You can be your most kind, caring and loving self, and still get treated poorly, because it's not about how you love, it's about the inability of others to love you the way you need to be loved.
Expect others to give you something, they simply don't have, they simply never learnt, they simply don't understand is forced pain
its planned self destruction
its organized self hatred
its disappointment you can expect
so why do you hurt yourself again and again with this

Its a very precious thing and I don't say you should walk away from the slightes pain
BUT when you tried to communicate, tired kind and nice words, tried to get compassion and understanding, even when they want to do it, some people just cant and it will take them a long time if even forever to learn
